Job Title: Security Service & Commissioning Engineer

Location: North of the Midlands

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Security Service & Commissioning Engineer to join a growing team, supporting retail clients across the UK. This is a field-based role involving extensive travel, focused on the servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of electronic security systems.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are fully operational, compliant, and performing to the highest standards across multiple retail sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and fault-find on electronic security systems
• Commission and configure CCTV and associated systems on new and existing sites
• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance visits
• Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently to minimise downtime
• Complete system testing, upgrades, and software configuration
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting following site visits
• Work closely with clients to provide a professional and responsive service
• Adhere to all health & safety and industry compliance standards

Systems & Technology

You will primarily work with:

• CCTV systems (including Hikvision and Hanwha)
• Associated IP-based security systems and infrastructure

About You

• Proven experience in servicing and commissioning security systems
• Strong working knowledge of CCTV platforms, particularly Hikvision and Hanwha
• Confident in fault finding and system diagnostics
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
• Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
