Administrative & Accounts Assistant

?? Hull (Office-Based)?? £25,000 – £32,000 (DOE)?? Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

We’re working with a growing and well-established business within the construction sector who are looking to add a highly organised Administrative & Accounts Assistant to their UK team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining administration and finance support, with the chance to become an integral part of a busy and collaborative environment.

The Role

In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting both operational and financial processes, helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key duties include:

  • Preparing and submitting payment applications in line with project deadlines

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support (documents, scheduling, correspondence)

  • Assisting with accounts tasks such as invoice processing and expense tracking

  • Managing component and stock ordering

  • Liaising with suppliers and internal teams regarding orders and deliveries

  • Maintaining accurate and organised filing systems (digital and physical)

About You

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple tasks.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative and/or accounts role

  • Experience within the construction industry (preferred)

  • Knowledge of payment applications or project documentation (advantageous)

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset

What’s On Offer

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Early finish every Friday (1pm)

  • Structured working hours:

    • Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

    • Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

  • Office-based role with potential for hybrid/flexible working after probation
